Now that volleyball is over and football only has a few games left, it’s time to learn a new sport: Basketball.
I don’t understand how to shoot it yet. I feel like I have loads to learn, but I’m excited about the process. Shooting sports reminds me how much I genuinely just love them.
Something that I noticed is that a lot of my favorite photographs were of the same players. I really need to learn to shoot everyone, because my entire gallery cannot be the same two players.
I’m excited for this basketball season. I’m excited to learn a lot.
I have never shot swimming before, but as a swimmer myself, I was incredibly excited about giving it a go. I had all sorts of tips from David Manning, like stay low, shoot from the side, understand the rhythm so that you can take the perfect shot, so I felt confident. During the meet, I felt like a bit of a nut running around but I wound up incredibly happy with my work at the end of the day. Even John Weatherford, one of my teachers that takes swimming photographs on the side, said that he liked my gallery. Here are some of my favorites:
